WHAT TO EXPECT

A unique, guided sea-kayaking tour where visitors discover, first hand, the awesome might and beauty of the Bay of Fundy's giant tides as they paddle near the spectacular sea stacks at "The Flowerpot Rocks" of Hopewell Cape. (Visitors are encouraged to return at low tide, if they've not yet done so, to stroll among the exquisite formations that they had paddled by a few hours before!).

In mid August guests may have the rare opportunity to paddle in the midst of tens of thousands of migratory shorebirds as they whirl and swoop in unison by our kayaks. The experience is world class but only available in August when the birds stop briefly to feed and refuel for the final leg of their non-stop journey to South America.

To fully appreciate the magnitude of Fundy's tides, participants are encouraged to walk on the ocean floor just before or after their kayaking adventure to record on film "a before and after shot" of their favorite formations. Guests are free to explore the beach on their own or to join a park interpreter.

WAIVERS

Here at Baymount Outdoor Adventures Inc. we take safety very seriously. We go to great lengths to manage the hazards inherent to sea kayaking on the Bay of Fundy, however, these risks cannot be completely eliminated. For these reasons all of our participants must assume these risks and agree to sign a waiver form to participate in our trips.

We expect participants to be active in managing their own safety. We expect participants to follow their guides' direction and to wear a PFD (personal flotation device) at all times on the water. A briefing before every sea kayaking trip lays out expectations regarding safety.
