Tour Information

If you missed our high tide tour, why not join us on our “Mid-Tide Coastal Tour”, a 1.5 hour paddle that provides guests with a unique panoramic view and photo opportunity of the “Flowerpot Rocks” just as the tides are receding and revealing the true identity of the rock formations.  Guests also have a special opportunity to navigate through the ‘ledges’ and up the mud lined Demoiselle Creek found at the south end of the Park.  When fully exposed, the massive 4 Kilometer wide mud flats at the foot of Shepody Mountain will serve as a stark contrast to a Bay that was totally flooded just hours before.

During the August shorebird migration, guests will also be treated to an up close and personal opportunity to witness thousands of shorebird probing the chocolate mud in search of tasty invertebrates that will fatten them up for the final leg of their non-stop journey to South America.

At tours end, participants begin to grasp the magnitude of Fundy’s giant tides but there is still more to discover.  By now, you can return to the beach and Walk On The Ocean Floor to record on film “ that before and after shot” of your favorite formations and places just paddled.  NOW you can truly understand and fully appreciate the magnitude of Fundy’s giant tide and the scale of Hopewell’s ‘flowerpot rock’ formations.
